We started our day bright and early. More early than bright actually. We woke up
at 3:00 in the morning. It was then that we immediately changed at a speed so fast I cannot even describe. Making sure nothing
was left behind, we checked under every mattress and in every nook and cranny. We had to quickly eat our breakfast and rush
out of the house in fear of missing the taxi and ferry. Finally we were ready to go. We headed into the van saying goodbye
to our home stay family forever. I almost fell asleep when the bus stopped. Now it was time for our ferry. Quickly we boarded
the huge boat. With every step I grew wearier until I sat down. At that moment, I collapsed. When I woke up I was dazed and
confused. It seemed that every thing had changed from when I woke up: the light, the movie, even the people sitting next to
me! I slowly look around to find that I was sitting next to Johnnie. I tiredly asked him, "How much longer?" He
just smiled and replied, "Just watch the movie!" For the rest of the ride I watched Mr. Beans holiday. When we got
off I gave my legs a good stretch and headed into the bus. Our next stop was the cheese factory. We saw how all kind of cheeses
was made. Honestly, I couldn't care less. All I could think about how every one back home was doing. Afterwards we sampled
some mozzarella and Gouda cheese.
We ended our day with free time in Ortygia. We all ran around eating gelato and shopping.
Most of us went to the beach but my group didn't because we didn't want to get sand in our shoes so we just pigged
out on gelato.
