Date: Sunday 7/13/08
Day:17 of my journey Paris, France We woke up to the sound of over a thousand alarms and with the hope of finishing our two day road trip
to Paris, France. We all double checked to make sure All of our bags were packed and nothing was left behind. We all went
down stairs for a breakfast of assorted cereals breads and fruits. Afterwards we brought our bags to the bus to be loaded
and prepared to go to our final destination: Paris, France.
The long, tiresome bus ride only made me more anxious. Paris was mere hours away and I knew I would be
in a city of wonders. I tried to stay awake to see all of the sights along the way, but I grew weary by the second until...
BANG. My heavy head hit the window in an embarrassing accident. Worried that would happen once again, I placed my backpack
in my lap and fell asleep on my bulgy cushion. Pit stop after pit stop, I thought we would never get there. I decided to get
to know my ambassadors even better so I spent the remainder of the trip talking to my peers. That was when I saw it...
There it was my first glimpse of Paris: The tip of the Eiffel Tower. I knew that this was going to be
a marvelous day. Once we arrived at our final pit stop for the day we were off. First we visited the Sacred Heart Cathedral
and then we went down the hill. Everywhere there were street preformers and artists. There was one guy who immitated all of
the great rennaisance artists, a group of accapella singers, and a man who did all sorts of juggling tricks with a soccer
ball. We went further into town for what most of us needed: a good old fashioned shopping spree. On this day I made sure I
did not forget a single one of my friends or family. I was so determined that I even made a chart of people who I got gifts
for. At the end of the day we all got paired ourselves up and were on our way to get a good nights sleep in our hotel.
