We woke up past 7 AM for the first time. After bed checks we ate breakfast in a hurry. After that it was time to hang loose
and catch some waves. We each grabbed wetsuits, rash guard, and surfboards. We all gathered around the instructor and were shown how it’s done. We surfed for about an hour. The waves were much more violent than the waves in Hawaii, as I was used to, but I seemed to manage. I might have pulled my shoulder out of its socket but I was having too much fun to care. After that we switched to boogie boarding. It was much easier to catch a wave then surfing and not as strenuous. After we were done we rode a quick ferry from the Mainland to Fraser Island.
After a hamburger buffet we went on a moonlight walk around the forest. Most of the wildlife is nocturnal so we were trying to get a good glimpse. We did not see any animals but it was nice to get a little fresh air and time to talk to friends.
