We woke up in a hurry for a long drive awaited
us. We all lined up for our buffet, tokens in hand. The line was incredibly long because the pancake machine only made 1 pancake
every two minutes and it took at least 3 pancakes to get your fix. That takes a long time when you have about 40 delagates,
5 delegation leaders, and a bus driver. Once our breakfast was over. While
on the bus seconds passed like hours, minutes passed like days. The silence was starting to tear me apart. Finally we stopped
in a town called Byron Bay. We went around to a shops and shopped around. With an hour left on the clock we decided to
go to the beach and write our names in the sand. Then it was off ot Grafton.
After the long, silent bus ride, we arrived at the Grafton basketball club. This is where we met with our homestay families.
I stayed with Romell and the Coombes. After I was introduced to the two boys Tom and Sam, we went out for a good game of bowling.
Even though i only scored a 64, that was the most fun i've had bowling in a long time! That night Romell and I slept in Sam's
room and Sam slept on an air matress in Tom's room. That was the most comfortable bed i've slept in since I was back home.
